Representing international schools on the continent of Africa, AISA has a membership of schools which range in size from 20 to 3600 students. AISA schools are strongly influenced by their location in Africa and their cosmopolitan student enrollment and teaching staffs who emanate from countries across the globe. Some AISA schools have an American based curriculum, others are British, and still others have an eclectic mix. All have an international focus. Focus is an Associate Member of AISA, and attended the Educator’s Conference and exhibited to the Membership. Close to 600 individuals from over 125 member schools in Africa representing nearly 42,000 students and over 2,500 teachers and administrators attended the conference. During the three days of exhibiting we spoke with attendees from about twenty (20) different schools across the continent.
Focus School Software is committed to social and environmental causes and we are always looking for ways to help in our community. As mentioned in our last newsletter, we have many employees who ride their bikes to work and recycling is second nature here as we strive to help the environment. Shannon Hutchinson, Bethany Heslam, Trina Sammann and Jessica Barber ran the Women’s Half Marathon and 5k in St. Petersburg, FL! This event benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This nationwide event helps fund research that finds cures and more effective treatments for blood cancer patients. Congratulations to all on a great run!
